Director of Financial Aid

Success in this position requires a person to continually drive top team performance through disciplined execution of the following:

  • Ensure that packaging and pay ready objectives are met or exceeded on all students
  • Maintain Bad Debt as % of Revenue less than budget
  • 100% clean student financial aid compliance audits (internal and external)
  • Maintain 85/15 Ratio with Title IV funds not greater than 85% and private/cash funding not less than 15%
  • Complete exit Interviews in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process graduate refunds to ensure credit balances are eliminated prior to the students last day of attendance
  • Manage all aspects of the Pell, Campus Based (FSEOG, FWS, Perkins Loan), and FFEL and Direct Loan Programs.
  • Provide for staff professional and personal development
  • Ensure all private payments due from students are received by the school in a timely manner
  • Ensure agency is billed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all third party student financing services are used effectively and collected timely
  • Update all students' Ledger Detail Listing and accurately
  • Assemble necessary documentation for preparation of return of Title IV funds (R2T4) and refunds in accordance with School policies
  • Maintain an appropriate line of communication with all departments of the school and communicate any concerns and recommendations to the executive director


Job Requirements:

In addition to the above operational requirements, your background should include:

  • Previous work experience in a financial aid office or educational/training setting.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Management experience (preferred)
  • Sales experience (a plus)
  • Proven ability to be detail oriented and analytical
  • Good communications skills
  • Past experience in working with teams
